The Sinking City 2 is Frogwares’ third-person survival horror, released 18 August 2026 on Windows via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. Official store copy sends occult adventurer Calvin Rafferty through a supernatural flood after a ritual trapped his partner’s soul in the Dreamlands and malevolent forces stole her body. The product is single-player. US Steam prices at capture: Standard $49.99, Deluxe $54.99 with The Arkham Field Kit, Premium $59.99 with Field Kit, The Holloway Manor, and 24-hour advanced access. Pre-order of any edition included The Chthonic Arsenal: Shale Mary, Breakwater, and Tektite Tommy.
Official history
The dated file on this hub is short because Frogwares already published the beats on Steam news and store pages. March 2024 opened the sequel; the March 2025 Kickstarter sold physical Limited and Collector boxes that are not the Standard / Deluxe / Premium packages on Steam today. Official posts later moved the window from 2025 into the first half of 2026, naming the war in Ukraine and the shift toward a leaner survival-horror loop, and they discussed Unreal Engine 5 with MetaHuman, Lumen, and Nanite as production tools rather than a marketing slogan.
June 2026 is the demo era: a one-hour Steam build dropped with the 18 August date and then sat in Steam Next Fest from 15–22 June. That build is how most players first met Calvin Rafferty. Patch notes 1 on the demo fixed crashes, a camera break after boarding the boat, updated safe-puzzle evidence, and retuned combat. After 18 August 2026 the same storefronts list Windows on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series, with GOG also listing the game and Gematsu additionally naming Epic Games Store.
Frogwares shadow-dropped a one-hour Steam demo with the August 18 date announcement and ran it in Steam Next Fest 15–22 June 2026. The demo introduces Calvin Rafferty. Patch notes 1 fixed crashes, a camera break after boarding the boat, updated safe-puzzle evidence, and adjusted balance.
The Sinking City 2 released 18 August 2026. Steam reports 23 achievements. Screen languages listed on Steam and PlayStation: 15, with English full audio. Russian, Thai, Vietnamese, and Indonesian are not in that official language list.
Official Frogwares trailers
Four Frogwares uploads cover the product without third-party reuploads: Game Overview (yQBGH8u4FHw), Meat for the Grindmaws extended gameplay (w1gvlvMA4pY), Welcome To Arkham release-date (RtGiwsrN5cs), and the Launch trailer (e2N8rgtrrec). The overview is the reel bound to this hub. The Grindmaws title is also the only first-party use of that foe name. Welcome To Arkham is the date announcement; the launch cut is the one tied to Calvin’s page. IGN and GameTrailers reuploads are recorded as non-first-party and are not wired into the chapter bar.
Chapter buttons swap the player among those four watch IDs. The facade stays a click-to-load YouTube-nocookie embed: no iframe and no player request until you press play. Use the overview here if you want the survival-loop pitch; jump to Release and Platforms for the date trailer and to Mythos Foes for the Grindmaws extended cut. The same four IDs never autoplay and never open a modal; the player is created only after a click, using youtube-nocookie, so a first visit to this hub does not pull the YouTube player script.
Documentary plates
The establishing still is the official skiff in a flooded brick street (steam-ss-00). The documentary strip under this heading uses other launch-gallery plates bound to the hub: Calvin’s bruised close-up, the portrait hallway, the rune obelisk by stained glass, the fish-scaled office, and the book-lined confrontation. Arkham Fish Market signage and the General Ward map live on Flooded Arkham because those two stills are registered to that route.
Steam header key art sits here as the identity plate — Calvin among tentacles with the product logo — not as a fake HUD. Capsule art is reserved for the editions file. None of these frames are cropped into a second “new” image; each id is a different official still. Thumbnails update the featured figure and caption without a lightbox. The Fish Market plate and the General Ward map stay off this strip so the hub does not reuse those two route-owned stills.

If you have not learned the loop yet, open Survive Arkham. Official copy is inventory, shortcuts, refuge, retreat-and-rearm, and travel on foot or by skiff. The HUD tabs on the official General Ward map are Investigation, Codex, Map, Inventory, Crafting, and Talents. Optional cases never gate the story; they unlock safer routes, supplies, and upgrades, and eight of them reuse Steam achievement titles on Optional Investigations.
Buyers should compare editions before paying: Standard $49.99, Deluxe $54.99 plus Field Kit, Premium $59.99 plus Holloway Manor and 24-hour access.
